Providing meals to frail, older people at home, a centre or in another setting may deliver a range of benefits. It is more than just a meal. It is about ensuring people who may not be able to get out and about, enjoy regular social interaction and the comfort of knowing someone will drop by to say hello and see how they are going. Meals on Wheels is not means tested but is a service geared towards the needs of frail older people, younger people with a disability and their carers. The Meals on Wheels program provides healthy and appetising meals delivered directly to the homes of our clients within the Wollondilly Shire.
